Lyrics: It’s Christmas by Stephen Buttell

It’s Christmas

He was wrapped in a cloth, as He laid in the arms of His mother

On a cold starry night, the Father looked on from above

And the heavens rejoiced at the birth of an infant named Jesus

Of all of God’s gifts, this was His greatest of love

A bright star would summon the world to witness the glory

Kings would bow down as shepherds would gaze at the Lamb

Emmanuel sleeps in the city of David this morning

Born unto a virgin to bring the Salvation on man

It’s Christmas, give glory and praise

It’s Christmas, Gods holy day

He sent His own Son, to become our Savior and Lord

It’s Christmas, give thanks and rejoice

It’s Christmas, sing in one voice

All of Gods angels stand watch as the King is adorned

A child is born

As Bethlehem sleeps, the family finds room in a stable

Mother and child take rest, the long day is done

Prince of peace, born of such humble beginnings

As the angels proclaim “Behold, this is God’s holy Son”

It’s Christmas, give glory and praise

It’s Christmas, Gods holy day

He sent His own Son, to become our Savior and Lord

It’s Christmas, give thanks and rejoice

It’s Christmas, sing in one voice

All of Gods angels stand watch as the King is adorned

A child is born

Sing, it’s Christmas, give thanks and rejoice

It’s Christmas, sing in one voice

It’s Christmas, sing for our Savior is born

Jesus is born
