by Sister Julie Ann on January 6, 2017

Franciscan Sisters are here at SEEK2017 in San Antonio, TX with the Diocese of Marquette, MI University students. franciscan-sisters-san-antonio-seek2017-bus-tripFr. Ben Hasse and FOCUS missionaries at St. Albert the Great, Houghton MI organized the travel itinerary and invited UW Oshkosh, UW Green Bay and Silver Lake College of the Holy Family students to also take seats on 2 buses. franciscan-sisters-san-antonio-seek2017-alamoDeparture time for us was 11:45 p.m. on January 2 at Blessed Sacrament Parish. We prayed our way to this city clearly named for St. Anthony of Padua. He showed up everywhere. Franciscans couldn’t help but feel at home.franciscan-sisters-san-antonio-seek2017

We’ve fed on good barbeque and Tex-Mex food, had rooms near the Alamo while feasting on a strong sacramental diet with inspiring Catholic speakers.franciscan-sisters-san-antonio-seek2017-streets-of-san-antonioWatch for more photos on facebook and more to say after we arrive home on Sunday. Reflection is needed before commenting further on all this pilgrimage has meant.
