Franciscan Sisters at First Ever Steubenville On the Lake

by Sister Julie Ann on July 27, 2016

Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity were present for the first ever Wisconsin Steubenville On The Lake Youth Conference July 22-24, 2016. We were not alone. More than 2,200 teens and young adults gathered at Carthage College, Kenosha, WI.Franciscan Sisters at Steubenville On the Lake 2016

Aside from attending some powerful liturgies and speakers, we were blessed with conversations with young people, youth ministers, chaperones, Bishop John Doerfler and priests from all over Wisconsin, as well as Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota.Franciscan Sisters at Steubenville On the Lake 2016 with Diocese of Marquette participants

May we continue to live the conference theme: “Thirst…But God proves his love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.”

I’m so appreciative that two of our Sisters were able to attend this event. Sounds like a holy and faith-filled experience.
