Franciscan Sisters Welcome Summer with Students

by Sister Julie Ann on June 8, 2016

As summer breaks continue to begin for students, Franciscan Sisters recall good memories. Franciscan Sister Jean Anne at St. Michael St. Mary Catholic School, Clarks Mills WI

Sister Jean Anne Moser and Sister Mariadele Jacobs commuted from our Motherhouse to visit St. Mary/St. Michael School in Clarks Mills, WI once a month. These days provided some great interaction with smaller groups of children. Students were given opportunities to get to  know our Sisters personally and our Community history with its beginning in Clarks Mills in 1869. (Yes, our  first Sister teachers officially began this ministry about 7 miles from our current Motherhouse.)

Please know we ask God’s blessing on all families in this season of growth and light.Franciscan Sister Mariadele at St. Michael St. Mary Catholic School Clarks Mills WI

Though we don’t serve directly in many neighboring schools, it is the delight of our Sisters to visit and help in classrooms, participate in assemblies and cheer students on with motivational comments. Thanks to all who invite us, especially those where we previously served.
