A Working Holiday for Franciscan Sister’s Family

by Sister Julie Ann on May 30, 2016

Recently, some of Sister Joy Rose’s family, Hank and Michelle Rose, their son Jake, as well as her brother Elmer arrived in West Point, NE. As soon as they got their things unpacked, they started surveying what needed to be done around the convent. Our Sisters moved into this building last May, so Sister Joy had no trouble drawing up a list for them.  Repairs included some of the following: sand, repair, and paint the deck; clean all the eaves and more.Franciscan Sister Joy and brother

At the end of each day everyone enjoyed a homemade meal prepared by the Sisters. However, on Sister Joy’s birthday, the Rose family prepared a steak dinner feast.  This was a birthday to remember!Franciscan Sister Joy's family
