Recently, Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity serving in Kekaha, HI were on hand to welcome new members of the Secular Franciscan Order on the island of Kauai.

Jim Doyle, the Minister from Our “Troubadours of Peace” region of the Secular Franciscan order based in Honolulu accepted three newly professed members into the emerging fraternity of Saint Elizabeth of HungaryFranciscan Sisters welcome Third Order Secular Members on the Island of Kauai. On Sunday, Feb. 8th, the Minister of the Third Order in Honolulu came to St. Theresa’s Parish in Kekaha to receive the vows of our newly professed members: Beverly Johnston, Elsie Pesol, and Bill Dick. Father Arnel officiated at the ceremony.

Our Franciscan Sisters were invited to come up to welcome the new Franciscans and join them in a picture.
It was a happy and blessed occasion for all!
