Free Franciscan Song: My Everything by Pasquale Talarico

by Sister Julie Ann on July 1, 2014

Desiring to listen to a summer song that has a truly Franciscan message? In this month of July 2014 Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity are excited to share Pasquale Talarico’s My Everything as a free music download.

St. Francis in a wonderful way  turned completely to the work of God desiring to fulfill the Gospel call: My God and My All. May you, too,  be moved to action as you listen from the depths of your heart to this song of praise to God. We invite you to comment on this song and how it moves your heart.

“My Everything” is a prayer that I wrote about returning back to God. For a while, it had seemed that many of the choices I was making was for my own glory, not the Lord’s glory. By the Grace of God, I was able to see this and return back to Him, always doing my best to put my focus and trust in Him.

Lyrics of My Everything by Pasquale Talarico

I turn my back on You
Once again
I seem to walk away
And I don’t know what to say
I don’t know what to say

I need You in my life
I need You more each day
Speak to me Oh God
Speak to me today

No matter how far I run
No matter how much I hide
It doesn’t seem to matter with you by my side
I will sing of Your strength, I will cry of your love;
You are my fortress,
You are my everything.

So heal this heart of mine
Make it whole again
Fill me with your grace
So that I may understand
Understand

No matter how far I run
No matter where I hide
It doesn’t seem to matter with you by my side
I will sing of Your strength,
I will cry of your love;
You are my fortress,
You are my everything.
