7 Franciscan Partners Sponsor Joint Employee In-Service

by Sister Julie Ann on May 1, 2013

Here’s something quite remarkable! Recently, 7 Manitowoc, WI, Franciscan partners including Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, Holy Family Memorial, Silver Lake College of the Holy Family, St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Felician Village, Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity Sponsored Ministries, Inc., and Roncalli High School offered a joint Franciscan Spirituality employee in-service. There can never be too much Franciscan presence in any one place.

Father André Cirino, OFM was guest presenter for the hour-long morning or evening session held at Roncalli High School.

Here’s some talk tidbits:Franciscan-Sisters-Manitowoc

  • All participants were encouraged to look for the ‘Bonum’, the name the true believer gives to God.
  • We are all to be conduits of good.
  • Franciscans look to Christ the Child as the center of Incarnational Theology.
  • Getting closer to the Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, is done by doing good.
  • Wherever we recognize good, God is present.

Father André is a Franciscan scholar and author. Click here to learn more about his publications. Since 1984 Father has conducted pilgrimages to Italy, Prague, England, Mallorca,  France, Germany and the  California Missions for Franciscan  Pilgrimage Programs. He lectures at the Franciscan International Study  Centre, Canterbury, England.

  1. Sister Mary Ann says:

Gathering with so many members of the Franciscan “Partners” of Manitowoc is a wonderful “good” thing to experience! The faith of the people of the Manitowoc area is a true example of St. Francis’ goodness, service and love!

  2. What a good and great event… to partner with others to in-service Franciscan employees. The Biblical number “7” struck me… fulness, completeness, and perfection aka blessing. I’d like to hear what others thought of this shared Franciscan time.
