What’s Going on During National Vocation Awareness Week

by Sister Julie Ann on January 17, 2013

During National Vocation Awareness Week it is not unusual for Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity to be in more than one place at a time (in fact, that is is the blessing of being part of a Community of Sisters with lots of energy and personal God-given gifts!) This  week (like any other week) we are deeply committed to inviting young women to consider our particular Franciscan Congregation. We can’t help it. We truly believe in the charism entrusted to us. We sincerely care about the people who we are blessed to serve.

To make this concrete, we share a few current calendar highlights that are truly supported by our lives of personal and communal prayer-especially daily Eucharist:

  1. Looks like a great gathering. I’m curious as to what kinds of questions are asked by the young people?

  2. Sister Mary Ann says:

It was a great week filled with inspiring times of sharing faith and Jesus’ presence in everyday life!

  3. Sister Mary Ann says:

I loved the question from one of the students, “What do you enjoy doing the most?” My answer to him was, that I really enjoy meeting with young women discerning if God is calling them to become a Sister. And right now I am having fun ice skating on the lake in the backyard of our Motherhouse!
