Name a 2009 Christmas Concert that Gives Glory to God

by Sister Julie Ann on December 5, 2009

img_7109.jpgCertainly,  internet radio offers many a nostalgic Christmas classic calling to mind many a  memory. Seasonal youtube specials also mix image and sound to produce new heart-warming moments that stir souls. Nevertheless, the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity are well aware that it is often ‘live’ Christmas concerts that truly ‘give glory to God’ and unite listeners in a spirit of peace and joy.

e.g.  Silver Lake College Department of Music presents Christmas at Silver Lake, Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus Saturday, December 5, 2009, 7:30 p.m., Chapel.

  1. A radio Christmas message from Holy Family Memorial (voice-Sister Barbara Belinske, OSF) is found on FM 98.9 and the music is arranged to accompany the lights on the tree at Harbortown near the Wellness Center that remembers loved ones during this Christmas time.

  2. St. Peter the Fisherman School had a great concert last night. Although the shepherds had a difficult time finding Jesus (which led to even more light-heartedness audience participation), the bands and singing were wonderful.
