Franciscan Community Director Sister Natalie Binversie presented remarks at the open house dedication ceremony. She acknowledged that “this hospital is one more step in our journey to secure for the next generation the presence of our Church and our Sisters in Zanesville, to provide healing of body, mind and spirit for those we serve and to assure that the tradition of compassion and healing that we represent will endure into the future.”

It was a joy to be present at the dedication of the new Genesis Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio, and to be invited to the dedication of St. Francis Chapel in the new hospital. The talks given at the dedication expressed profound gratitude and well-deserved pride in the accomplishment of a state-of-the-art hospital designed to serve the patients in the most compassionate and efficient manner possible. The healing ministry of Jesus is alive and well in southeastern Ohio.
